Morton® TFC PureSun™ Culinary Crystals

Morton® TFC PureSun™ Culinary Crystals is a new food grade solar salt naturally harvested from the waters of the Great Salt Lake. Morton® PureSun™ Culinary Crystals meet FCC purity requirements and can be used in a variety of food processing applications including soups, sauces and snacks. TFC PureSun™ Culinary Crystals are prepared by treating PureSun™ Culinary Crystals with a water-soluble anti-caking agent.

TFC/HG Blending Salt

Salt is prepared by treating H.G. Blending Salt with a water-soluble anticaking agent.

Blending Salts comply with Food Chemicals Codex tolerances and federal cGMP standards. They are annually certified as Kosher. TFC H.G. Blending Salt is treated with a trace of yellow prussiate of soda, an additive permitted for food use, as an anticaking agent.

Uses:

  • Cereals & Baked Goods: Dough salt for breads, rolls, cookies, crackers, biscuits; Bakery mixes, cake mixes; Toppings for snack crackers
  • Dairy: Cheddar, Colby, Italian, Swiss, Blue, Brick
  • Dry Blends & Seasonings: Breadings, batters, Panko (Japanese breadcrumbs), bakery mixes, cake mixes, tablestyle seasoned salt; coarse seasonings/rubs, meat cures and tenderizers
  • Soups, Sauces & Dressings: Soups, sauces, gravies
  • Condiments, Spreads & Processed Vegetables: Mustard, sauerkraut, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, tomatoes, tomato juice
  • Meat, Poultry & Fish: Frozen eggs
  • Snacks & Sweets: Crackers, dry mixes for desserts and gelatins

TFC Purex® Salt is prepared by treating Purex® Salt with a water-soluble anticaking agent.

Purex® Salt is food grade, granulated sodium chloride. The salt crystals are cubic in structure. There are no additives.

Purex® Salt can also be used in industrial drinking water applications that require higher purity salt than solar salt.

Uses:

  • Cereals & Baked Goods: Ready-to-eat breakfast cereal, dough salt for breads, rolls, cookies, crackers, biscuits; Frozen/refrigerated dough
  • Dairy: Brine-salted Italian, Swiss, Blue, Brick cheese
  • Soups, Sauces & Dressings: Soups and sauces
  • Meat, Poultry & Fish: Sausages, franks, bologna, chill brines, seasoning premixes, dry-cured meats; Pickles for ham, bacon, corned beef; Smoked, brined fish
  • Condiments, Spreads & Processed Vegetables: Margarine, mustard, can brine for vegetables, jar brine, sauerkraut, salsa, tomatoes, tomato juice
  • Snacks & Sweets: Nuts
  • Water: Industrial drinking water applications

Star Flake® Dendritic Salt Morton Salt is the only manufacturer of dendritic salt. Star Flake® Dendritic Salt is a high purity, food grade salt formed in porous, star-shaped modified cubes. Its unique and diverse physical properties result in low bulk density, a rapid dissolving rate, exceptional flow characteristics, strong blendability, unmatched liquid adsorption and a quick, salty sensation.

Star Flake® Dendritic Salt contains yellow prussiate of soda, an additive permitted for food use, as a crystal modifying agent.

Star Flake® Dendritic ES Salt is treated with sodium silicoaluminate, a moisture-absorbing, free-flowing anti-caking additive, approved as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe).
