Salt is high purity, food grade granulated salt that is cubic in structure. Higher purity helps assure consistent saltiness intensity. Brine treatment, crystallizing technique, and post-crystallizing washing substantially reduces calcium, magnesium, iron, copper and other heavy metals, sulfate and carbonate impurities. The product contains no additives.

Culinox® 999® Salt can also be used in industrial drinking water applications that require higher purity salt.

  • Cereals & Baked Goods: Ready-to-eat breakfast cereal, dough salt for breads, rolls, cookies, crackers, biscuits; Frozen/refrigerated dough
  • Dry Blends & Seasonings: Poultry marinade
  • Dairy: Cottage cheese, cream cheese, vat-salted cheddar and Colby; brine-salted Italian, Swiss, blue and brick, processed cheese
  • Soups, Sauces & Dressings: Pourable salad dressing, soups, sauces
  • Meat, Poultry & Fish: Frozen eggs, sausages, franks, bologna, chill brines, marinades; Pickles for ham, bacon, corned beef; Fish fillet, Smoked/brined fish

HG Blending

HG Blending Salts are food grade granulated salts carefully screened for uniform size and cubical shape. Its consistent particle size contributes to more uniform blending of food ingredients.

TFC H.G. Blending Salt is prepared by treating H.G. Blending Salt with a water-soluble anticaking agent.

Certifications

H.G. Blending Salts comply with Food Chemicals Codex tolerances and federal cGMP standards. They are annually certified as Kosher.

Additives

H.G. Blending Salt contains no additives.

Morton® PureSun™ Culinary Crystals is salt harvested from water taken from the Great Salt Lake using solar evaporation. The brine is concentrated in open shallow ponds and then crystallized into pure salt through slow evaporation via solar heat and wind. The harvested salt is washed, dried, crushed, and screened to optimum size. This product is food grade salt and is generally recognized as safe (GRAS).

PureSun™ Culinary Crystals tend to crystallize in pyramidal aggregates which are broken up in milling to irregular, rectangular particles. Appearance is crystalline to white.

Chemical Properties

PureSun™ Culinary Crystals comply with Food Chemicals Codex and federal CGMP standards. It is annually certified as kosher for Passover. This product is considered “Natural” and is suitable for use in products labeled “Organic”.

TFC PureSun™ Culinary Crystals is treated with a minute concentration of Yellow Prussiate of Soda (sodium ferrocyanide), a water-soluble anticaking agent used in accordance with 21 CFR 172.490.

Rock Pretzel Salt-Morton Salt is the only manufacturer of Rock Pretzel Salt. Our Rock Pretzel Salt is carefully selected for food grade purity and contains no additives. As a result, Rock Pretzel Salt is considered “Natural” and can be used in products labeled “Natural” and/or “Organic”. Its unique characteristics include uniform, flat, rectangular-shaped particles, which adhere well as a topping for pretzels and other topical applications, seasonings, hard rolls, coarse rubs and koshering. A distinctive feature of Rock Pretzel Salt is that it has a translucent appearance.

White Pretzel Medium Salt
